So if you haven’t tried an Aperol Spritz, what are you doing? Aperol, is an Italian liqueur which has achieved almost god like status in Italy, where us English love to drink a cup of tea, you’ll find many Italians sitting outside a bar with a cool spritz in front of them. 

 

It’s also a very simple drink to make.. Serve in a copa glass or large wine glass. This drink is so simple it means anyone can do it. But to get the perfect Aperol Spritz you need to get the measures just right. 

 

You'll need: 

25 ml Cottingley Sugar Plum Fairy Gin

25 ml Aperol 

75 ml Prosecco

A splash of soda water

Orange slice

 

What do you do:

Fill your glass with ice to just below the rim of the glass.

Add the Aperol and the Gin

Add the prosecco

Add a splash of soda water

Garnish with a slice of orange
